Reality Rocks Day Rocks FMS
FMS students were seen participating in a race that was "amazing," challenges that lasted a minute. and team challenges for survival as a part of Reality Rocks Day at FMS. It was a fun day filled with excitement and lots of challenges, both physical and mental. Students are already looking forward to next six weeks...... |

Franklin Middle School Wins UIL Meet
Congratulations to our UIL Academic and One Act Play teams for winning first place at the District 16AA UIL meet held in December. The annual UIL Awards Banquet will be held January 23 at Franklin High School. Dinner will be served from 6:00-6:45 p.m., followed by the awards ceremony in the auditorium. |

Gobble up Hunger Food Drive is a Success
NJHS sponsored the annual food drive to benefit our local food pantry, Care, Inc. Our theme this year was "Gobble Up Hunger"with a tough turkey competition between Rowdy Reed (6th), Macho Miller (7th), and Kid Krueger/Baby Krueger (8th).The food drive was a great success with more than 700 items collected. The 7th grade and Macho Miller had the most items (282), followed by 8th grade and Kid Krueger (242). The 6th grade and Rowdy Reed brought in 179 items. NJHS wants to thank everyone for their support and help. |

OFYP – Optional Flexible Year Program
Students meeting all testing requirements, attendance requirements, and grade requirements for the first semester will be dismissed from the first semester of school on December 16, 2011. Any student not meeting the requirements for the first semester must attend school from January 3-6, 2012, to receive targeted assistance for student success. Students who meet all requirements on their spring benchmark tests will not be required to come on April 9, 2012. Students meeting all testing requirements, attendance requirements, and grade requirements for the second semester will be dismissed from school on May 25, 2012. Any student not meeting the requirements for the second semester must attend school from May 29 - June 1, 2012 to receive targeted assistance for student success. |

Franklin ISD is committed to creating and maintaining a 21st century learning environment for our students and staff. As part of this vision, Franklin ISD is planning to implement a "Bring Your Own Technology" (B.Y.O.T.) pilot program in the 2011-2012 school year. |
