STUDENT COUNCIL

The purpose of this organization is to encourage school citizenship; encourage student participation; promote better student-faculty relations; plan assemblies, foster solutions for school problems; promote the general welfare of the school and community; and to give students responsibilities in school affairs.

To maintain active status in StuCo, members must: not have a grade below 70, not have a disciplinary action, adhere to Student Handbook at all times, partake in at least 5 meetings, donate to 2 drives, work at least 2 community projects/school events.

StuCo meetings are on paper and can be picked up in the Library on the first Thursday of each month. StuCo participates (working, hosting, etc.) in the following events throughout the school year:

  • RRE Fall Festival
  • Feast of Sharing Coin Drive
  • Veterans Day Program
  • Catalog Fundraiser
  • Cafeteria, Custodial, Maintenance, & Technical Support Appreciation Breakfast
  • Handmade Ornament Contest
  • Food Pantry Fundraiser
  • School Board Appreciation
  • Valentine’s Dance
  • Easter Egg Hunt
  • Teacher Appreciation
  • Cystic Fibrosis Fundraiser
  • Any other event that may arise where StuCo could be of use

 

StuCo members must participate according to the constitution guidelines set (they receive this during first week) in order to be eligible for the end of the year field trip!
