Red Ribbon Week will be celebrated at FMS the week of October 23rd - 27th. It is designed to educate our students about the importance of staying drug free & getting an higher education. It provides students with grade-appropriate information regarding the pursuit of higher education. This includes community/junior colleges, trade/vocational/technical schools, military training, and universities.
To encourage students to plan for a higher education and to stay drug free, our activities of the week will include:
- All Students will Receive Red Ribbons
- Daily Dress Themes
- Display "5 Ways Ed Pays" Posters
- College Signs Hanging in Hallways
- Drug Free Pledges for Students
- Display of the Signed Pledges
- Daily Announcements
- Prizes for Participating
Daily Dress Themes: Students must still be in Dress Code.
Monday - Use Your Head, Don't Use Drugs! - Wear Caps or Hats
Tuesday - Your Future is Key, So Stay Drug Free! - Dress in Future Career or College Gear
Wednesday - Team Up Against Drugs! - Wear Your Favorite Sports Shirt or Jersey
Thursday - Sock-It To Drugs! - Wear Crazy Socks
Friday - FMS Chooses to Be Drug Free! - Wear Franklin Shirt/Colors
